Just because Violet Flamingo doesn’t have an online store anymore, doesn’t mean I’ve stopped selling my work. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
For years now, my customers have been ordering through my private Facebook group and via direct messages. And honestly? It works better. It means every piece can be cut to your exact size, adjusted to fit the way you want, and even reimagined in alternative fabrics if that’s what you’re after.
Made-to-order is what I’m all about.

Over the years, I’ve been told countless times that I should have an online store, that I should be selling in shops, that it would “make things easier.” But easier doesn’t always mean better. Violet Flamingo has never been about mass production or one-size-fits-all. It’s a personal experience. I want you to get something that feels like it was made for you, because it was.
There’s also the reality of how social media works. When I post new designs on Instagram or Facebook, I can’t include prices in the caption. Not because I don’t want to, but because if I do, the post gets hidden. Platforms like Meta push brands to pay for that kind of visibility, and as a small independent business, that’s just not sustainable for me.
So, I found my own way around it.
Inside my private Facebook group, I can share everything freely, prices, details, fabrics, the lot. No restrictions, no algorithms getting in the way. It’s a space where you can see new pieces properly, ask questions, and be part of the process.
If you want first access to new designs, all the details upfront, and a more personal way to shop, come and join the Violet Flamingo group.
