Sip & Sew - Sahiko & Boro. 19/09/26, 6:30-9pm @ Ebor Studio

Violet Flamingo Sustainable Sewing Workshops are held in Gallery Frank, inside Ebor Studio, Littleborough — a thriving community of artists, makers and creatives. 💜

At this Sip & Sew session, bring along a garment or textile that needs a little love! Whether it needs an alteration, a repair, a bit of upcycling or you simply have an idea you’ve been dying to try, we’ll work together to give it a new lease of life.

I’ll have six domestic sewing machines set up and ready to go, alongside plenty of guidance, ideas and sewing support. You don’t need to be a sewing whizz — beginners are very welcome!

And if you fancy something a little more crafty, there’s an optional hand-sewing bonus too. Have a go at Sashiko and Boro-inspired mending, using denim patches, sashiko thread and scrap fabrics provided. Perfect for adding a bit of personality while strengthening and extending the life of your favourite clothes.

Bring your garment, bring your ideas and let’s rescue some clothes from landfill while learning new skills, getting creative and having a good old sew-cial. 🧵✨

Accessibility -

There are two small steps up into Ebor Studio, with a handrail for assistance.

We have a disabled access toilet.

If you require wheelchair access, please let me know when booking. We do have a ramp available, but I’ll need to arrange some help from another Ebor member to get it set up for you.

Refreshments - 

I’ll have the tea, coffee and juice covered, but if you fancy something a little extra, feel free to bring it along! Wine, fizz, beer or an alcohol-free tipple — it’s your sew-cial, so you choose. 🥂🧵
